Ukulele 101 at Sun Valley LAPL

May 14 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Did you know that many branches of the Los Angeles Public Library have musical instruments that can be checked out like books? Neither did I, until they reached out to ask if I’d be willing to come teach an intro ukulele clinic in May.

Please join us at the Sun Valley branch of the LAPL for a three-part beginner’s ukulele clinic on May 7, 14, and 21. Neither training, experience, nor talent are required. We will do a simple three-chord song each week, and we will be using the SAME THREE CHORDS (with pictures) for all of them so if you miss one of the workshops, no worries. Bring your own uke if you’ve got one, or you can borrow one of theirs (they will have 15 ukes available at the Sun Valley branch) and take it home with you for free (!!!) with your LAPL card.

You should probably sign up with the library ahead of time, especially if you want to borrow one of their instruments.
The Sun Valley branch of the Los Angeles Public Library is located at:
7935 Vineland Avenue
Sun Valley, CA 91352
Phone: (818) 764-1338

I swear, it cracks me up whenever I get invited to a library specifically to make noise.
